A broken contract is no longer a dead end: the culprit's promise can be disputed and an unpaid sum claimed before the bench for six days after the closing.
A contract term now names both sides: you can write "you owe me", not only "I owe you".
The Bench tab shows who judges now, apart from the ballot for the next term.
Zooming and dragging the map no longer answers with "Too many requests".
The guide has a Contracts topic, and a server owner can change the minimum number of judges in polis-rules.json.

Contracts

When a contract breaks, the sheet says who broke it and what is still yours to bring before the bench. The culprit's promise can be disputed and money they never paid can be claimed, for six days after the closing. A closed contract used to offer no action at all.
When adding a term you choose who owes and to whom. Whoever added a term used to become its debtor, and the right to dispute it landed on the wrong side.
Under every term you now see whose it is from your side, what state it is in and who may dispute it. A completed delivery no longer reads as "owes 0".
Deliver, Pay and Settle go dark when you have nothing to hand over or the contract is not ready to close, instead of being refused by the server.
Once one party declares a contract honoured, the others have seven days to confirm or dispute; silence closes it as honoured.

The Bench tab is two lists: who sits on the bench this term, and who is backed for the next one, in order of backing. A judge seated by command or no longer standing is visible.
A case names the judges who may hear it. Who has answered, and how, stays sealed until the finding.
If the bench cannot decide a complaint - too few judges who are not parties - you are told at the filing and on the case itself, not six days later when it lapses.
After bringing a complaint from a contract, the inbox or the land journal, the window goes to the case by itself.
Corrected wording: the evidence of a withdrawn complaint stays with it; the court guide says only visits behind a closed border can be brought; "Stop standing" does not vacate a seat before the term ends.

Zooming with the wheel or a trackpad and dragging the map no longer send the server requests, so the "Too many requests" notice while zooming is gone.
An empty journal of visits on open ground explains that nothing can be brought before the bench without a closed border.

polis-rules.json is created beside the world's registry with a minVoters field - the fewest judges who are not parties a finding needs. The default is 3; a small server may lower it.
